SHAVING SOAPS VS SHAVING CREAMS

Why Should Ladies Use Shaving Cream and DE Razors?

Shaving cream for women you might ask?

Traditional wet shavers know a few things about a great shave that women might have forgotten over the years.

Ladies, lubrication is key. Using ordinary soap as lubrication is possible and many do this, but, soap dries out the skin leaving a tight and dry post-shave with the inevitable razor burn and bumps behind.

Lubrication – Using a specially formulated shaving cream (or soap) will undoubtably improve a woman’s shaving experience. There is a reason the wet shaving community goes crazy for these rich, dense lathers. Plot twist – it’s not only for your face. Using a shaving cream on your legs, underarms, and even bikini area will ensure a comfortable and irritation-free shave.

Now, let’s get into some of the shaving creams we’d recommend:

  •  Edwin Jagger – 99.9% Natural Aloe Vera shaving Cream – This vegan-based formula whips up a thick, gentle lather that protects and nourishes your skin. The  fragrance is subtle so it won’t overwhelm.
  • Truefitt & Hill – West Indian Limes Shaving Cream – This shaving cream has a fresh and zesty scent and is  ideal for a summer shave.

Razor – The other very important part of a great shave is using a Double Edge Safety Razor. You may be intimidated by the likes of a DE Razor, but rest assured, they are absolutely safe and can be used on and part of the body from your “crown” to “down-town”. The single blade creates less stress on the skin and provides a closer, smoother shave, without razor burn.

Ladies, your personal grooming products have gotten so expensive over time, not to mention the poor quality of the products, as corporate companies push their single use, over-priced cartridge razors in the market. You’ve been left with sub standard products with gimmicky features such as,  lubricating strips and vibrating handles.

It’s time to change the way we shave, transforming our routines into a pleasant experience and a less wasteful practice as we go.

Switching to a Double Edge Safety Razor and a quality shaving cream is the perfect way to improve your shave and reduce the cost of your personal care routine.
